Lol'd
Similiar thing happened to me when I was trying to sell my tormented sword. Best offer was 32e, the rest are like 30e>. Sucks to sell stuff you don't want these days ;s. |

Nah, just seems that regardless of how cheap you're selling your stuff people will always lowball you.
But then i started thinking like this. I wanted 30e for it. So i spammed wts for 35e and sure enough some kid PM'd me and i got my 30e for it. I guess you just gotta advertise for more than you actually want from it just because it's peoples instincts to grossly lowball. |

Yes, welcome to price negotiation 101. Always ask for more than you are willing to sell for, because until we get an Auction house, haggling is the norm. |

I advertised a small equipment pack for 1.5K. Sold quickly, but some random PMs me he'll buy for 1.2. That's 50g less than the merchant would pay for it(1250g), if anyone's counting.

i wish this was the case but now you get a pm asking how much u want, so u tell them the price...and you get 'nty' and a 'do not disturb' when u reply....i am always open to lower offers but i never get the chance, people seem to think prices are fixed lol (or searching for the 10% of people who dont know the real value of the item). |

Why would anyone buy an equipment pack for more than what the merc sells it for? That's like selling a black dye for more than what the dye trader lists it at.

It sells for 2,500 from Merchant. Merchant will BUY from you for 1,250 (except for those gotten by Nikolas or Zcoins, in that case you only get 50g). (MisterB beat me) |

This is how all barter markets work. Just like buying a car, nobody should pay sticker price.
Just because we aren't used to this sorta thing anymore as small markets and people selling produce out of their trunk have gone under to big corporations, and we all buy our groceries supermarkets instead, doesn't mean there is anything wrong with it. |
